Update from the team

Whilst COVID-19 has clearly restricted the IRONMAN courses we intended to run across South Wales during Easter holidays, this hasnt stopped us helping around 100 children living in West London who have been struggling to get access to online learning resources during the lockdown.

After a hectic week of fundraising and calls to large Technology Corporations, we are pleased to annouce that we have delivered approx 70 Tablets, 15 Laptops and 4 desktops to the school children who previously did not have access to a device to get online to access the schools online learning resources.

Learn more about this great initiative in the “Projects” section.

I am particularly greatful for ACER UK who donated all the desktops and alot of the laptops!!

October 2019

The first 5 week pilot of IRONMAN is now complete, with the children having a fantastic time droping Eggs of the roof of Swansea University and learning about velocity and resistance, taken photos of planets whilst at Cardiff university and learning about Astrophysics, and many more activities.

My thanks go out to all partners who helped, and in particular to the WRU who somehow managed to get a block of tickets all together for the children to watch Wales versus England at Millennium stadium; for some this was their first time to Cardiff seeing the Castle and the Museum of Wales along with the first time seeing Wales play rugby live at the national stadium, an experience that will remain with many of them for life.

Generosity and Gratitude

Since receiving our official Charity Commission registration approval on December 5th 2018 the trustees have been working hard to secure funding. We have been overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity of our donors, where together we have already secured pledges totaling in excess of £30’000 to be donated during January.

Being able to secure such funding within weeks of officially launching has confirmed the vision and belief of the trustees that alot of people care about the quality of Education being provided to our children, and financially has set us a solid foundation on which to build going into 2019. As 2018 draws to a close we are now well on our way to reaching our £1m 2019 target and for that we are very grateful to our donors.

On behalf of the Trustees, we wish you all a Merry Christmas and prosperous new year.

Dec-2018 - New website launched

With close to zero skills amongst the trustees in terms of website building, ive learnt more in the past 48 hours about automated mailing (and the little chimps that perform such tasks), obtaining copyright licences for the use of photos and ever so subtle art of ensuring your website looks the same on an iPhone as it does on the desktop.

Very grateful to Squarespace, Shuttershock, Getty Images and Mailchimp

Hope you like it !
